Pilot Login and Password Reset

Each Pilot will be provided with a user name and password for Icelink®.  Enter these credentials,  and click the ‘LOGIN’ button to log into the system.

During the first user login, the user will be prompted to do a password update and create recovery questions.  Please see the following video link….

Main Dashboard and login initial setup

The main dashboard provides the user with five different options.  This manual will outline the utility of each of the options:  Request Deicing, My Account, Support, Weather Resources and Airport Charts. Each option can be accessed by clicking on the appropriate icon as illustrated below.

Please find and select  the ‘REQUEST DEICING’ page

 

This will bring up the Plane Information page which allows for selecting the departure airport and your flight number.  The airport, flight number, aircraft type and registration will auto populate with an appropriate pick list.

 

Review the information and select “ACCEPT.

 

Deicing Ordering Page

The deicing ordering page will now allow the flight crew to select Deicing and Anti-icing.  The default button is armed with the dispatch recommended spray requirements for the current conditions.

Pilots can manually enter deicing and anti-icing surfaces if there is a different requirement than the default selection.

Specific inspections can be selected, or specific instruction can be added. 

 

The pilot will get a visual representation of their order

Once the order is reviewed, click on the confirm button

 

Confirm “Brakes Set” and “Aircraft Configured”

Once the flight Crew is ready for the deicing process to start the crew will confirm the brakes are set and their aircraft is configured for deicing by selecting the status buttons. The deicing trucks will now move in.

 

 

The flight crew can now monitor the deicers process real time as the type 1 is completed the aircraft diagram indicates the surfaces that have been treated. The OAT is reported directly from the Metar to determine the correct Holdover times.

 

 

 

The start of Holdover time is reported on the page “HOT START”  and the anti-icing surfaces illustrate the type IV application on the requested surfaces.

 

 

Post Deicing Report

Once the deicers have logged the fluid sprayed, recorded the contamination observed and moved into the safe zones, a post deicing report is provided to the pilots. Caution once the confirm button is pushed the report is no longer available on the flight deck.

Flight crew will now exit the deicing application and the process is complete.
